Eliel Brothers Store Burglarized in Night Break-in
Eliel Brothers, Dillon’s largest dry goods store, was entered from Center Street by climbing a transom and opening a Montana Street door. Several hundred dollars in merchandise including suits, shoes, hats, and traveling bags were stolen while the cash register escaped intact.

Funeral Held for Mrs Clara Garr in Dillon
Mrs Clara Maud Garr 54 wife of Alva Garr a Dell rancher died last Sunday at her Dell ranch after pneumonia and a heart attack. The funeral from the Dillon Methodist church will be led by a clergyman from Butte and burial at Mountain View cemetery. Better Homes Week features displays in Dillon including a living room and dining room model at Dillon Furniture and a table setting contest by six high school girls at Huber Brothers.

Cattle Selling at Eight Cents a Pound in Local Trade
A thousand head of fat cattle were shipped from Dillon to the James Henry Company in Seattle this week. Joe Haslett, Henry's buyer, paid eight cents a pound for Clemow steers and secured 16 cars from Jorgen Jorgenson, ten from George Clemow, and eight from Hanson & Johnson of the Big Hole basin, the highest price this season in the area.

A remaining 400000 of bonds will be kept in reserve for emergencies as part of a 5 million bond issue approved in 1920 for state educational institutions.
