Bishop Brewer Opens City Services With Repentance Sermon
The bishop arrived Monday and led eight o clock services on repentance baptism and laying on of hands. Large crowds attended each evening for teachings on Holy Communion Church belief and worship. Seven baptisms occurred last Sunday with more to be confirmed next Sunday as preparation continues.

Two well attended school caucuses gathered at the courthouse last Saturday. One targeted three Dillon school district trustees and the Beaverhead county free high school board. Retiring trustees declined renomination. top nominees included Stamm Bishop Eliel Morton Haines Phillips. High school caucus also renominated retiring members Featherly Conway Scott. Alice Passmore of Butte spoke to the Mothers Club on kindergarten work.

Dixon Bill Passes House In Favor Of Bedrock Lake Project
A telegram from Congressman Dixon states his bill allowing the Senate to select lands to replace those flooded by Bedrock Lake Reservoir has passed the House. Gov. White returned from Washington and discussed progress on the irrigation scheme with officials, noting potential start next year and President Roosevelt’s reception. The Public Lands Committee reports that Montana seeks to reclaim 60 000 to 100 000 arid acres under the Carey act, with Bedrock Lake site providing storage for Beaverhead river irrigation at about 6 800 feet elevation, affecting 12 000 acres.
