Former Dillon Resident Charles Coe Dies in Polson
Charles Coe, a former Dillon resident, died Tuesday in Polson after months of illness. He was discharged from the army last year along with his wife, a former WAC, and both served during most of the war. The funeral was held in Plains with interment there. An article notes a March 8 rise in ceiling prices for most cotton textiles by five to ten percent to cover higher labor and cotton costs, with an extra five percent incentive for staples like dresses and shirts to shift production toward needed fabrics.
