Association Opposes Wool Scale Increase
The report notes weak wool buyers activity and that about 60 percent of the Montana clip has been contracted at 34 to 35 cents. Prices showed volatility in 1926 with early declines and later gains, while 1927 began with grease wool prices down slightly. Despite foreign factors and low mill stocks, domestic wools remain near 1926 levels with no expected contraction in demand.
