Trail Blazer dies after brief California sojourn in Long Beach
William Woodward, longtime Butte resident and former candy and cattle businessman, died Thursday in a Long Beach hospital after a long California sojourn. He was 86. Survived by son Ted of Wisdom and daughters Mrs Herbert Goodall and Miss Mary Woodward of Long Beach. Burial planned in Los Angeles with body to be received in Butte next week by White Undertaking. he was a member of Oswego Lodge No. 9 Knights of Pythias.
