Legislation Expands State Normal College and Dormitory
The eighth Montana legislature approved a broad set of measures affecting the State Normal College. A key law renames the institution to State Normal College and authorizes bachelor and master degrees in pedagogy. An additional bond of 25000 funds a new dormitory wing to be completed by September. The maintenance appropriation totals 22000 for this year and 25400 for 1904, enabling new labs, books, and instructors. The executive board acts to implement plans with a special Dillon meeting to approve designs and a bond sale in April with contracts by May.
