Farmers Institute Links High School to State College Work
On a Saturday afternoon the B C H S party with Dr W J Wartman of Bozeman held a Farmers Institute at Grant with Principal Foote Edith McDowell Prof Jay Kerr and two quartets from the student body. About 100 people attended and the group then went to Armstead for an evening session returning to Dillon that night. The party then traveled Sunday to Lima for a Monday afternoon meeting with about 120 attendees and continued to Dell for another successful session. The aim was to acquaint residents with the high school and state college programs in agriculture and domestic science. Dr Hartman of Bozeman, winner of a thousand dollar silver cup for oats at Madison Square Garden, assisted in the county institute.
