Ajax Mine Promises Rich Free Milling Ores and Expanded Mill

The Ajax mine yields 10 ton free milling ore with blocks of galena carrying up to 50 percent lead and $30 per ton in gold. The vein runs flat and a two stamp mill with Wilfrey table could produce about $25 per ton after costs. Water power from Lake Lena supports a 100 inch flow, with dam expansion proposed to double supply and transport ore by tram to a new mill site.
