Wisdom's annual harvest festival days will be staged during the first week in September. R C Fetty of Wisdom will run the rodeo and gala events drawing visitors from Butte Anaconda Dillon and nearby towns. Wisdom Man Armitage Dies At Sunny Slope Ranch
W A Armitage oldest Big Hole resident dies at his Wisdom home Sunday about 10:30 am. Born 1859 in Galena Illinois he came to Montana as a child and later lived on the Strawbridge ranch. Survived by three children seven grandchildren and four brothers. Funeral Wednesday in Wisdom with interment in Wisdom cemetery beside his wife.

Whitey Larson pleads guilty in court here
Whitey Larson pleaded guilty to stealing a calf from the Knapp ranch near Argenta about three years ago. He received a five year sentence suspended by Judge Lyman H. Bennett. Larson and Larry Donaho, who escaped from the county jail in 1932, were arrested near Deer Lodge two weeks ago. He said he killed the calf to feed his destitute wife and baby.

Native of Dillon and long time newspaper worker Clara F. Adams died at her South Rife street home yesterday morning after a brief illness. Born June 29 1888 she rose from Dillon schools to lead the Examiner gaining controlling interest in 1915 and becoming sole owner and proprietor. Her death shocks the Dillon community and Montana newspaper circles.

Erwin Paul Monida Vet Dies at Fort Harrison
Erwin B. Paul, 40, died Monday at the veterans hospital at Fort Harrison after a several months illness. George R. Baker, adjutant of Beaverhead post of the American Legion, notified his passing. A Beaverhead County native, he lived most of his life in Monida and served overseas with the Mist division in World War I. Survived by his wife and one child, the funeral was held this morning in Lima with many Dillon Legionnaires in attendance.

Montana Man Back From Alaska Delivers Cows
Stevensville stockman Ray Metcalf returned to the Bitter Root after delivering three carloads of western Montana dairy cattle to Seward Alaska. The government project near Seward is being colonized by farmers from Minnesota Wisconsin and Michigan. Metcalf said the government secured dairy stock in the northwest for the project and three carloads were assembled locally.
