Articles of incorporation filed for the Lemhi and Salmon Valley Railroad with $5 million capital to build from Cerro Grande near the Salmon River to Lewiston with branches to Challis Grangeville and Kaufman. The route runs via Birch Creek Lemhi valley and Salmon River to the Snake near Lewiston, surveying underway and engineers in the field.
