They laid out registration districts and voting precincts, approved saloon licenses, and awarded a health officer bid to Dr. E R Ackley. The board also named a county school examiner and prepared bids for a Badgie Pass road project.

An Artist in His Line at Star Theatre
Arthur Prince draws capacity crowds this week at the Star theatre with a classy vaudeville mix. Tonight he debuts the Rock of Ages illusion hailed as masterful. Prince then plans frequent program changes to please all. Moving pictures, including The Corsican's Revenge, entertain patrons this week.

Two Dillon Boys Drown After River Bathing
The bodies of Tommy Spurrier and Earl Blake, 14 and 15, were found in a deep river hole near Dillon Century Valley after a day of swimming. Neighbors searched after the boys disappeared. both are buried in Mountain View cemetery. Spurrier was popular and sang at the Scenic Theatre. Blake was the son of a Centennial Valley rancher.

On July first M E Barry and Judson Best will open to the public their automobile supply store and garage at Reeder and Montana streets. The large red brick one story building is well equipped with electric lighting and a steam heating plant, promising modern conveniences for patrons.

State Engineer to Assume Charge of Local Water Measurements
George R. Featherly and Newell C. Knight, representing Beaverhead and Bedrock River users and the Bedrock Reservoir and Irrigation Company, ask State Engineer Wade to inspect the reservoir intake and outlet and to measure all water entering and leaving the Bedrock and Redrock systems during the 1910 irrigation season. Butte and Dillon Baseball Showdown for State Title
Butte Reduction Works and the undefeated Dillon team will meet in Dillon for the state championship game next Sunday. Manager Farnsworth guaranteed players $100 if they win and posted a side bet of $100 to bring the team to town. Last Sunday Dillon beat a Butte ball club 17 to 3 in eight innings, with Butte’s three runs described as gifts.

Death of Mrs Thomas Call at Blaine ranch
Residents near Point of Rocks were shocked by the death of Mrs. Thomas Call at her ranch home after a visit with Dillon friends. She had last been seen in good health, then travelled to Blaine and Helena where she underwent a minor operation. Blood-poisoning followed, with doctors and a trained nurse rushed to aid her.

Death claims Merle Davis Call in Dillon area
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Merle Davis Call born in Helena and raised there before moving to Dillon with her family. She died Tuesday morning, leaving husband Thomas Call and their ten month old baby, plus her parents and brother. Interment followed at Point of Rocks cemetery. Rev. Charles Rhodes officiated.

The M S N C alumni and faculty gathered Friday at St James Guild Hall for the annual banquet closing the college year. Forty five attendees enjoyed orange and black decor, a long white banqueting board, and a program of six courses with toasts led by Dr. Finch. Swain Mosher Miss Cunningham Misses Alspaugh Gerture Thompson Lucie Nutterville and the graduating class were praised for a memorable Commencement week event.

Family Reunion Dance At Bell Ranch In Montana
Mr and Mrs S L Bell hosted a series of family reunions at their home ranch in Montana. Saturday night featured a dance honoring Mrs Fred Osborn of Dillon and Mrs C M Hanson of Deer Lodge. The newly finished bunk house served as a dance hall with rustic log walls and blue and gold decorations. A Japanese lantern provided soft light as attendees danced and sang. During supper hours Mrs Hanson spoke about Deacon Brown. Supper tables displayed blue and gold china and tall vases with blue yellow flowers and fruit.
