Miner Manager from Armstead Visits Dillon
Herb Selway of Armstead arrived in Dillon last Thursday to oversee several mining properties. About 20 men are employed, but ore shipments won't start until late July or early August due to flooding on Horse Prairie Creek. The flood disrupted development and blocked a railroad spur needed for loading ore. Ore in Selway properties shows 15 to 30 percent copper with traces of gold and silver.
