Rattlesnake Meat Stirs Montana Wildlife Debate
Bill Sweet of the Montana Fish and Game Commission extolls rattlesnake meat as white flaky and flavorful with possible uses from canned goods to soup. He notes snakes are clean feeders and poison glands are confined to the head, while hunts by Sweet and his wife in Beaverhead County support zoos and clubs. The Sideliner humorously hopes Dillon locals might join a snake hunting visit to the Examiner.
