A New Road to the Elkhorn Hot Springs Opens
At the Spa county commissioners meeting planners moved to repair or rebuild the county road from the Dory and Khaney mill to the Elkhorn hot springs a distance about 3.13 miles. Medlen estimates the cost at 300 dollars with bids to be opened July 19 at a special meeting. The improved route would allow travelers to reach the springs in one day instead of overnights, boosting local use of the springs and supporting the home industry principle.
