Beaverhead County Montana commissioners convened June 1 1908 with all members present except Francis. They approved March and May minutes audited bills set bid opening for June 2, accepted John W Morton Co bid for fencing along Dillon to Flynn ranch road, rejected Grant saloon petition, prepared road inspections for Big Hole, moved waterway work for Clark’s Canyon, revoked H T Peck liquor license, accepted I A Harmon bid to change Junction Creek, and arranged County Health Officer contract with Dr M A Walker. Montana State Normal College commencement to feature 32 graduates
The eleventh annual commencement at Montana State Normal College in Dillon will honor 31 young women and one young man. Margaret Burke of Helena and Fritz of Miles City will receive diplomas in February. The week includes a baccalaureate address by Dr. A. B. Martin, a class day play, and an alumni reunion, with Governor Edwin Hamilton expected as commencement orator.

Dillon's baseball squad could not work out or play as scheduled after washouts on the B A P railroad forced cancellations in Anaconda. Manager Barry failed to arrange a game with Rosa Hall's leaguers and Hall refused to risk a loss. The team left for Bozeman for three games midweek and will face Jones' team in Butte Saturday and Sunday. A Miner’s Union crowd is expected and The Examiner will post daily results.
