Miss Mary Ellen Peterson and Mr Harold L Weeks exchanged vows in a Lima Community Church ceremony on June 1. The event featured a pink, daisies and lilacs decorated altar, bridesmaids in blue and yellow gowns, a Rainbow Bible bouquet, and a three tier cake. The couple will reside in Lima after a short honeymoon. both are Lima High School graduates. Out of state guests came from Denver and Everett Washington.

The Western Union telegraph service moved to the Hazelbaker Agency offices on Idaho Street at the start of the month. Teletype handles all traffic and hours remain 8 30 am to 5 30 pm. On Sundays and holidays service is via the ticket agent at the Union Pacific depot.
Mrs Sadie Underwood of Dillon visited with her daughter Mrs June Anderson and her mother Mrs William Gratzke of Grandview Washington. They met Mrs George Barer and Mrs Frank Stahl in Missoula and then travelled to Dillon to join Mr Gratzke and Gus Gratzke for Memorial Day. The Stahis returned Monday evening.
