Work of the Normal School in Its First Year
The State Normal School reports its first year progress to the state board. Despite adverse conditions, the faculty maintained pleasant relations and pursued broad teacher preparation. The curriculum emphasized practice teaching, library use, and alignment of all subjects to teaching, with representation from sixteen counties and attendees from several states.
