Barrett Hospital will host a public opening on Saturday June 9 with a program in the solarium at 8 30 pm. Miss Edna Benson is named superintendent supported by Miss Mary B Goode and Mrs Phillip May to manage operations and the operating room. Financial gifts from local banks and citizens fund endowment and equipment including X ray gear as listed, with a long roster of donors and supporters.

George and Martha Keyes of Challis Idaho are in the city and registered at the Andrus. L. E. Brainard is in Dillon from Lima. County commissioners, in session this week, left yesterday to inspect roads in the southern portion of the county.

Edward Underwood dies of stomach cancer in Dillon
Edward E. Underwood a Bannack resident died in Butte last Wednesday evening after years of stomach cancer. His funeral was held Friday afternoon in Dillon with interment at Mountain View cemetery. He was born in Beaverhead County forty years ago and lived in Bannack throughout his life, working in mining. He married Sadie Thompson and they had four children surviving him.
