Arthur Pue Gorman United States senator from Maryland died Monday morning of heart trouble. He served in the Maryland House of Delegates and Senate, led the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, and held the U S Senate seat from 1881 to 1899 and again beginning in 1905. He requested no state funeral and left a widow and six children.

Rider Injured At Centennial Valley Cow Camp
Henry Porch, employee of P. and O. Livestock, was seriously hurt when his horse balked and fell at the company cow camp in Centennial valley. He suffered a broken leg below the knee and torn ankle ligaments, and lay undiscovered from 11 a.m. until about 6 p.m. His fellow workers searched for him, then took him to Monida and continued to Dillon by midnight train. Dr Poindexter set the bone and reports the patient is progressing as well as could be expected.
