Late Governor Spriggs Big Figure In Montana History
A. E. Spriggs longtime Montana official and chairman of the state industrial accident board died after a ten day struggle with erysipelas and septic pneumonia. He served as lieutenant governor 1896 1899 and led compensation reform. survived by wife Josephine and family. He guided the Montana accident board since 1915 earning wide praise from workers and employers alike.
