Beaverhead County Board of Equalization and Roads
Beaverhead county commissioners met as board of equalization on July 16 1906 to review 1905 1906 assessments and to award jail contract. The Chicago Montana Gold Dredging Co was granted one year to dredge and occupy part of Bannack county road subject to conditions and a $1000 bond. Bids for jail construction awarded to Frank P Birrer. Several petitions for reductions were denied while Graeter Electric Co saw a net increase. Board adjourned to July 28 for corrections and August 13 for clock tower design considerations.

Dillon organises permanent baseball club with new officers
A Fans meeting last Monday elected a seven member board of directors including J. H. Gilbert and Albert Stamm with E. L Poindexter as manager. The club will rely on monthly subscriptions aiming for 400 dollars. Battery King and Davie signed for the season will wear Dillon uniforms. Adel high school gains new science and agriculture head
D E Fish of Adel Iowa was elected to lead science and agriculture work at the county high school. The board plans a stronger agriculture course next year to attract ranch work minded youth. Tax levy for maintenance drops to 14 mills with 14 mill for interest and sinking, while fall term starts September 10. Professor L R Foote begins a countywide trip August 1 to promote the high school.
