Montana 1924 road program tops 2.6 million
The Montana state highway commission announced a 1924 program totaling about 2.66 million dollars for federal aid highway construction and repairs. About 2 million of the cost will be covered by the government with 671 thousand paid by the state and counties. Nearly a third of the funds go to Indian reservation roads, with 14 of 20 contracts awarded for gravel surfacing and bridges on reservations.
