State Teachers Abandon Tax Petition Drive
Miss May Trumper announces the Montana State Teachers association will stop pushing petitions for an income tax and an inheritance tax after failing to secure enough signers. The drive led by W. L. Beers operated from Helena with limited funds and time, and officials say funds are needed to hire field workers. The association will continue its educational campaign for better schools despite the setback.
