City Council Grants Plumbing Business License
The city council held a July 5 session at city hall with Mayor Gilbert and council members. Willard H. Smith was granted a license to carry on a plumbing business after meeting requirements. A contract for 750 feet of hose at one dollar per foot to be delivered in Dillon was awarded to American Rubber Manufacturing Co. Various licenses and financial items were approved and bills ordered paid.

Wild Animal Show Draws Record Dillon Crowd
A record crowd gathered in Dillon last Thursday to see the Al G. Barnes wild animal show. Visitors traveled from within about two hundred miles, enjoying the performance and well received feats from the menagerie amid a late-arriving circus and two splendid performances.

Mrs Simmons Dies After Operation at Curtis Hospital
Elizabeth Ann Simmons of Denver Colorado died Sunday night at Curtis Hospital after an operation. She arrived in Dillon to visit her daughter Mrs S A Banning at the ranch. Illness led to surgery. she was 80 and could not withstand the shock. A service was held Tuesday at the Methodist church and the body shipped to Colorado for interment.

Young Man Injured in Dusty Motorcycle Accident
A young man named Stephens suffered a serious motorcycle crash last Thursday between Evergreen Farm and Blaine. His foot was caught in the bike and the heel flesh was stripped to the bone. O. W. Smith transported him to Curtis Hospital where he remains a patient.

Supposed Bad Man Captured in Idaho
W. L. Beck, nineteen, arrested at Leadore Idaho on horse stealing charges and held for Fort Worth Texas authorities who identify him as Rufus Coates, wanted for the murder of Zella Faulk of Fort Worth. Beck may be Charles Harvey with tattoo C A H, described as Coates in appearance. He confessed to thefts on Grasshopper ranch and in Idaho, wishing to avoid publicity.
