Melrose Festival Features Rides Races and Dances
A Melrose celebration Saturday featured early start with foot races bull riding and prize money. Odell Greene earned 25 dollars for riding a famed white-faced horse, followed by a 100 dollar purse for his daring feat. Roy Peterson praised for horsemanship. Evening dance by Joe Young's orchestra and a late supper at the Melrose hotel capped the festivities with many out of town guests listed.
