January county board approves a long list of claims
The January meeting of the county board allowed warrants for General Fund and various accounts. Payments covered offices, groceries, medical care, jail and prison supplies, road and bridge work, hospital bills, public welfare, and tax withholdings. The total claims reach into the thousands with numerous named vendors and staff listed. A separate payroll section itemizes county clerk, deputies, assessor, and other staff salaries and per diem.
