Preliminary cost estimate set for paving district 14
Engineer Neal Sullivan reviewed the 68 block paving district 14 project in Dillon with Mayor Lovell and eight aldermen. The preliminary cost is about 148000 dollars, roughly 250 dollars per lot, based on the master plan survey. The district lies between the Union Pacific railroad and Atlantic street with cross-streets and calls for a nine to twelve inch sub-base and a two inch surface. Bids are expected soon as plans proceed. The district was approved in July 1955, funds for the survey became available recently, and the council also approved bids for a 77000 dollar bond to finance the Highway 91 route through Dillon at a separate meeting.
