The Queen of the Zee and the Tiger House Raid
Jezebel the tigress and Rajah endure a London zoo raid as bombs fall and tigers are guarded by crack shots. In a parallel thread Corporal Trim returns on 36 hours leave to Gertie, whose growing resolve changes their marriage after a night of war. The story blends animal and human peril with a wartime romance.
