Legislature Debates Initiative Referendum Bill In Senate
The Initiative and Referendum bill faces death in the House while the Senate amends and passes related measures. Dillon era politics see scattered votes as Democrats fusionists and labor back the measure while Republicans split, delaying final passage. A parallel debate over county creation yields Paradise Sanders County named after Col. Sanders, with minor opposition. The session features parliamentary wrangling, paired votes, and procedural reversals.
