Monida pass remains open this winter allowing auto travel from Dillon to Idaho. Tourists, including many from California, arrive hoping to traverse the divide by car and many plan southbound trips by road. The route is in good condition with no trouble crossing the divide and Montana residents may drive to California if the pass stays open.

PTA Dance at City Hall for Charity Sponsored by Local Club

Forty Year Beaverhead County Resident Dies
Frank M. Thomas a Beaverhead county resident for nearly forty years died yesterday afternoon after months of declining health. Born March 18 1853 in Burlin New York he worked on county sheep ranches and later ran hotel clerking at the Metlen and Andrus. Survived by eastern relatives funeral plans not announced.

Beaverhead Officials Attend County Commissioners Meeting in Great Falls

Beaverhead Wool Clip Attracts Heavy Buying In 1928 Market
Practically two thirds of Beaverhead county’s wool clip has been contracted at an average of 40 cents after unusually early market activity. Silberman & Son of Chicago paid 41 cents for the Selway Sheep company and E. F. Price estate clips totaling about 17 000 fleeces. Silberman & Son, Dewey Gould and Koshland & Company have contracted roughly 150 000 fleeces at 40 cents, with Dewey-Gould’s George R. Melton and Howard Candland handling about 70 000 in southwest Montana.
