En route to Riverside California after a national tour, Jimmie Melton a former Dillon native and basketball coach at March Field is promoting Razzo Dazzo a six man football strategy parlor game. Melton and associate Herman unveiled the concept to sales agencies aiming to distribute the game. The tour highlighted his education at Dillon Normal College Montana Wisconsin USC and his work in Riverside's school system.

Potato Men Visit Noted Local Farm
Southern potato growers from several states toured Irvine & Cottom certified seed potato farm near Dillon, the Northwest’s largest, after arriving from Pocatello and stopping at Torrington Albin on Pine Bluffs Wyoming. The Union Pacific rail sponsor guided them through 300 acres of White Rose Bliss Triumph Netted Gem British Queen and Russet potatoes and the farm’s storage cellar and handling equipment. The visit capped a tour that began in Nebraska and included Yellowstone Park.

Bannack Mill Opens Under New Operator
The Golden Leaf mill, recently acquired by Harry Archibald and associates who now run Bannack Mill, operates three properties. In the Pri scilla tunnel’s first six feet of a 100 foot winze sulphide ore shows over three ounces of gold per ton. If deeper sulphides prove, Bannack may boom. Dillon Firms Change Hands In Local Business Deals
Two Dillon business firms were sold last week. The Dillon Creamery, founded four years ago by Eric Holmen, was purchased by D. W. Myers and E. R. Hilger with plans to upgrade the plant. The Pheasant on Bannack Street, long run by Al Groshean, was sold to Russell Smith and Norman Wynes, closed for renovations and reopened under new management.
Dillon youth to study medicine in Munich
Harry Colfer, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Andrus of Dillon, left for New York and Germany where he will enroll as a medical student at the University of Munich. He will begin November 1 after pre medical training at Montana State University in Missoula and USC in Los Angeles.

Beaverhead trapshooters maintained their reputation at the Pacific International Trapshooting Association district tournament in Butte. Bill Gleed of Lima won the Great Eastern Handicap with 94 of 100, Jack Barrett placed second with 93, and Ted Renfro dominated the doubles event, dropping four of 120, with Joe Cotant of Pocatello as the nearest challenger at 109.

His bid of 123 975.82 covers regrading surfacing with crushed gravel and piling over five sections totaling 5 718 miles from Melrose to Nissler in Silver Bow county. The project is the forum’s priciest of seven bids opened, with the Browning Glacier Park cutoff grading and surfacing bid by Thomas Staunton of Great Falls at 122 618.43 for 8 821 miles.

Mother of Teacher Summoned in Seattle Death
Mrs. Charles Albertson mother of Miss Genevieve Albertson of Montana State Normal College faculty died in Seattle after a six week illness. She was 83 and had lived in Twin Bridges and northern Idaho. She moved to Dillon to join her daughter after her husband’s death about a year ago.
