Beaverhead County Fair runs September 18 19 20 with 50 cent adult admission 25 cent child under 12 free for accompanying parents and free grandstand. Entry cards required sent to Secretary. entries accepted until 10 am September 18 no gate money collected and free daily acts announced in the program.
Ranchers and stockmen urged to support Beaverhead's premier agricultural fair. The commission highlights months of planning and invites exhibitors to showcase livestock and farm products, aiming for the biggest, best fair yet and to claim valuable premium awards.
Division A horses require all pure bred entries to be registered in their stud books per USDA standards and pedigrees to be provided by exhibitors. Good grade horses receive liberal premiums. Ages counted from January 1 foaling year. Premium horses may join ribbon parade when asked. Entries must arrive by 10 am September 18 and stay until 5 pm or fair end. Exhibitors supply feed and care for stock. Hay and straw sold on grounds by the Association.
All sires must be pure bred and registered. Age counted from September 1 of birth year. Three year old heifers must have borne a calf prior to exhibit. In pure bred classes only animals with approved pedigrees may compete.
Division D Swine lists Robert Bidstrup as superintendent with Geo Stinson and I F Hunsaker as assistants. Division E Poultry shows entry levels with prizes for 1st to 5th place and varying entries counts and cash awards.
