Shooting at Goris ranch triggers village court session
Justice of the Peace Geo Woodworth held his first Ellis hall session Monday over a Sunday morning incident at the Goris ranch. Walter Rutt and C H W Goris clashed after a broken fence allowed Rutt’s horses to graze on Goris land. An exchange escalated to gunfire with Rutt firing in the air and Goris claim of a grazing wrist injury. Rutt was fined 50 dollars.
