Rates on Livestock Rates Revised by Interstate Commission
Washington April 18 examiners finished an investigation into livestock rates moving to North Pacific ports from Oregon and Idaho. A new distance scale proposes 53 dollars for 100 miles and 156.50 dollars for a thousand miles per carload. Double deck carload rates for sheep hogs and calves at 126 percent of cattle, with Seattle Tacoma adjustments and Portland differentials to be added.
