Mrs Albina Stone Dies in Florida After Dillon Years
Mrs. Albina Stone widow of A L Stone and longtime Dillon resident died Friday at her sister’s home in Geneva Florida. Born October 12 1869 in Oblong Illinois she moved to Dillon in 1894 and worked as a stenographer for J E Morse before marrying Stone. Her husband helped found the State Bank of Dillon later State Bank and Trust Co and served as its first cashier and president. Continued on page 8.

Puppet Show First to Seen At Montana Normal College
Dillon's first puppet show is to be staged at the Montana State Normal College auditorium on April 19 and 21. The Rip Van Winkle production runs four times with matinees for pupils and high school students and evening shows for townspeople and students. The Normal Art club sponsors the event under Miss Mary Baker, with 25 unique puppets and multiple puppeteers. The College String Orchestra, led by Ralph McFadden, will provide accompanying music.

Southwestern Montana Wool Growers association members favor a wage scale not over 30 dollars a month for lambers, herders, camp tenders and irrigators, and not over six cents a head for shearing. Beaverhead Madison and Silver Bow counties' sheepmen are in the group, with Red Rock Livestock association adopting a similar wage scale. Deorge M Clemon a prominent Beaverhead county rancher and three time Montana Stock Growers president died early Thursday morning at St Marys hospital Tucson Arizona after a long illness. He had been hospitalized in Dillon and Rochester Minnesota and made brief recoveries before a final decline and Mayo Clinic surgery did not restore his health. His death surprised friends statewide especially Beaverhead county supporters who remembered his brave years long battle.
