Anderson Buys Valley Ranch in Beaverhead County
Frank Hazelbaker, a Dillon real estate man, closes a five figure deal as Louis Anderson buys the Fred Gilbert ranch five miles north of Dillon. The 800 acre Beaverhead valley property includes water rights, improvements, and equipment. Anderson, formerly of Horse Prairie, will not operate the ranch. Victory Loan Campaign to Begin Next Friday in Beaverhead

Businessman Harry Ettinger Dies After Illness
Harry Ettinger, 52, a prominent Dillon business owner and citizen, died Tuesday morning at his home from pneumonia following influenza. Born in Warsaw, Indiana, he learned harness making, moved west, and established a thriving Dillon harness and saddle shop. He leaves a grieving family and was known as a devoted husband and father. The body will be shipped to Livingston with family and his mother in attendance.

Accidental Rifle Tragedy Claims Flynn Child at Dell Ranch
Barbara Flynn, 9, daughter of Mr and Mrs Flynn, was fatally struck by a .22 rifle bullet at Percy Flynn ranch in Dell last Thursday. The gun, believed unloaded, discharged when the girl kicked it while brushing her hair, causing fatal injuries. She died at Curtis hospital in Dillon that evening. funeral held in Lima. Survived by nine siblings.

The finest herd of cattle from Beaverhead County, 190 two year olds weighing 1,240 pounds each, were sent last Friday to Chicago via Barton & Brothers of Seattle. Owner W. S. Tash of the D. L. ranch Polaris earned about $88,000 total at a record price of 15.35 per hundredweight. Tash, renowned as a leading northwest beef raiser, fattened the animals on native hay before the sale. He ordered a Montana Auto Supply roadster bearing the ranch brand and finished in dark red Shorthorn color.

Ship Cattle Headed to St Joseph From Dillon Stockyards
Roscoe Cornell shipped a car of grain fed steers described as the finest to leave Dillon stockyards this week. It required 18 of the big steers to fill a box car bound for St Joseph Missouri. Other Monday shipments included Duff Brothers and Frank Rife with two cars of fat cows and two cars of beef steers from Charles Meine. R. N. Cosgrove sent a car of beef cattle. John Sutherland loaded a car of horses at Dell for Ashton Idaho yesterday.

Death of S L Davis From Influenza and Pneumonia
S L Davis a young dry land farmer from Blacktail section died Monday at Curtis hospital after influenza complications. He was brought to Dillon on Sunday for treatment. Funeral services were held at Brundage chapel at 2 pm with burial in Mountain View cemetery. Born in South Dakota 34 years ago, he leaves a brother in Belgrade.
