Clemons Couple Claim West Touring Championship Title
P N Bean of Clemons and his wife claim the 1921 touring championship of the West after a 12 day coast to coast journey from San Francisco to Helena via Los Angeles. They faced mud flats in Idaho, snow between Spencer and Monida, and snowed roads between Helena and Butte. The couple, who stayed four months in Santa Rosa amid heavy rainfall, will spend the summer on their Montana ranch.

Billings Girl Weds Nobleman In War Romance
Miss Mary Kifer of Billings married Italian nobleman the Marchese Degli Albizzi in New York. She will live in a castle in Italy after the wedding. Kifer, from Sioux City Iowa, was a Billings teacher and Red Cross nurse who later aided Armenian refugees in Erivan and near east relief.

Fergus County fisherman nets giant Spring Creek steelhead
Ed Paige, renowned Fergus County angler, battled a monster steelhead in Spring Creek Lewistown. The 15 12 pound fish stretched nearly as long as a barn door as a crowd watched the two hour duel. Paige also caught a six pound rainbow and a four and a half pound steelhead the same day. He holds Spring Creek’s largest rainbow at 14 pounds and 30 inches.

Montana board outlines 2.26 million for university branches
The Montana Board of Education proposes a 2.26 million dollar building program for the four university branches including University of Montana at Missoula and other campuses.
