High School Exhibit A Big Success at Beaverhead
The fourth annual high school exhibit at Beaverhead County High School drew crowded attendance. President C H Bowman of the School of Mines at Butte spoke on Phosphorus and phosphate deposits while outlining potential fertilizer industry benefits and conservation ideas. Students showcased domestic science, art, milk testing, speed typing won by Miss Mabel Phillips, and open books in the commercial room.

Stock Commissioners Meet Elects Raymond and Sappington
D W Raymond was unanimously re elected secretary and H H Sappington was unanimously elected president of the state board of stock commissioners at a session in the Power block. The forty member band plans a central and southern tour to interest high school students. They perform free, with any fees going to the high school fund. Dillon welcomes leader Louis L. Howard and the group arrives April 18 after leaving Bozeman April 7 for a concert at the Montana State Normal College auditorium.

Vaudeville Returns to Scenic with New Circuit
Manager W heat restages vaudeville at the Scenic theatre for the first three nights each week starting Sunday. The new circuit brings top acts to Dillon with Acrobatic Wilson and Dick Deloris on the program next Sunday. Shows run Sunday Wednesday and Friday with three Sunday performances beginning at 7 10 and 7 50. A Saturday matinee at 3 features amateur vaudeville. tickets cost five cents for children and ten for adults.

J C Gaylord Pioneer Miner Dies in Dillon
J C Gaylord a pioneer mining man and prospector from Lemhi county Idaho died in Dillon last Friday morning. He came to Dillon four months ago from Lemhi counties mines suffering valvular heart trouble. He was over seventy three and died of heart trouble. Funeral was Sunday at three led by Rev S D Hooker with interment at Mountain View cemetery.

Automobile Crashes Into Train in Dillon Miracle Escape
In Dillon last Sunday afternoon an ER M F touring car crossed in front of a three o’clock passenger train near The Metlen hotel. Nels Nelson escaped serious harm while a brakeman was nearly struck. the car and platform were damaged. The incident was described as miraculous.
