Churches in Dillon prepare elaborate Eastertide programs with morning and evening services. The First Presbyterian Church invites all to Easter Sunday with organ preludes, anthems, solos, duets, sermons, and hymns including selections from Adams, Handel, Stainer, and Palestrina, expressing faith and gratitude.
The St James Episcopal Church outlines Holy Week services with Holy Communion on Thursday and Sunday, a Good Friday service from noon to 8 pm, baptism on Saturday, and Easter Sunday activities including a 7 am communion, 11 am service with a second communion, and a 4 pm children's service featuring a mite chest presentation and a children's choir. The morning service program lists processional Hymn Christ is Risen, anthems by Homer N Bartlett, Te Deum, Jubilate, and Welcome Happy Morning.
The program lists morning services with vocal solos, a message on Easter by Vivian Marcoe, and various exercises by children Clinton Thelma Knapp and Julia Anderson. Evening service features hymns, a scripture reading, prayers, and sermons on life beyond the grave by Pastor, with Apollo Lodge of Odd Fellows attending in a body.
Bible school at 10 Worship and sermon at 11 Lord’s Supper. Cantata The Resurrection Light at 4 30 by the choir directed by Miss Lucy Herrick. Soloists include Miss Myrtle Dragsteadt Miss Martha Sprinkle and Miss Ethel Anderson.
First Mass at 8:00 a.m. High Mass at 10:30 a.m. The high mass song service lists Kyare-Millard Gloria Shuey Credo Shuey Sanctus Cancone Benedictus Marzo Agnus Dei Leonard Veni Creatore with choir members Mrs. T. K. Juleson Mrs. Hiram Brundage Miss Bechtold Burke Maher Albert Stamm Ethridge Ward Carroll and organist Mrs. E. D. Leavitt. Hank White, recently in Southern California, returns to Dillon and praises the trip before home in Old Beaverhead.
A land contest suit before U S Commissioner A S Johnson at the courthouse drew Melrose residents as witnesses. The government contests the desert entry claim of David N Woodside on land near Vipond Park arguing it did not meet desert entry requirements and was not of the proper character. Attorneys Robison and Alvord represent the defendant while a government special agent represents the contestant.
Governor White returns from Southern California describing a climate of rapid growth in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He notes booming automobile sales, expanding roads, and looming Panama Pacific exposition plans in 1915. He mentions oranges, shipping, and irrigation projects while recounting figures and travel delays for winter travelers.
The Centennial saloon at Montana and Helena streets changes hands from Wm Kohl to Herbert Anderson and George Rhodes, Idaho Falls residents. They plan improvements and strict first class operation. Kohl departs for Louisville then plans to return. Anderson notes trotting horses Grey Star and Elizabeth Hal. Rhodes has long Idaho Falls ranching ties.

Otto Severson and J A Collins were among Butter residents observed in the city yesterday providing a brief local sighting of residents in town.
Dillon held a quiet city election last Monday with contests only in the first ward where A L Anderson narrowly led J H Brundage. Ward two saw 83 votes with Miiel beating W J Bryan. ward three recorded 25 votes. Across Montana, socialist gains faded as Republicans and Democrats dominated mayoral and alderman races in several cities.
The John T Orr Auto Company is organized with $30 000 capital and 600 shares. Officers include John T Orr as president C A Smith as vice president W C Orr as secretary treasurer and directors J T Orr C A Smith W C Orr A D Young J J Poindexter Max Lauterbach Matthew Orr Otto Gosmaan Theodore Nelson. Plans call for remodeling the Orr livery barn at Idaho and Centre into a modern fire proof garage with brick center plastered walls cement floors elevator machine shop steam heat and a stocked sales room. They hold the Apperson Jack Rabbit cars made in Kokomo Indiana with prices from 1600 to 4200 and will also handle Stevens Dury a and Chalmers cars.
State Fair Commissioner F A Hazelbaker plans a major Beaverhead exhibit with expanded space and strong rancher support. He urges farmers to contribute grains vegetables fruits and grasses as samples while a ten car Pullman train and diner will bolster advertising.
Carpenters began work yesterday on the Lovell barber shop to remodel half the space into a modern pool hall and cigar stand. Ed Davis will operate the pool hall and cigar store after selling his Idaho street restaurant. George Lovell will keep the barber shop with four chairs and baths, plus a remodeled interior and new wall mirrors. The pool hall will be separated from the barber area with the cigar stand in the lobby and new upholstered leather seating added in the lobby. Continued on Page Four.
