New York March 20 Partly to honor Montana and aid the Montana navy crew the state committee led by Gov. Toole ordered a silver service from a Montana mine. The complete set will go to Huber Bros Dillon Montana where residents may view it until the Montana officers are ready to receive it. The piece features a punch bowl on a silver plateau etched with A 3 S Montana A D 1908 and a patriotic verse. The Montana is a twin screw armored cruiser of 145 000 ton displacement with 22 knots speed, twenty main and forty secondary guns, and a crew of 821 men guarded by 23 000 indicated horsepower.
