Accidental Shooting Claims Young Davis in Hunting Incident
Orion Rayner, 16, son of J. B. Davis of this city, died after being accidentally shot by Harold Mitchell, 18, on the Philip Manseau farm near town. Mitchell’s gun discharged when unbalanced while duck hunting, causing a fatal wound to Davis’s upper thigh and groin. A coroner's jury ruled the death accidental. funeral services were held at the Methodist church with Rev. Z. James.
