Forbes new town to rise near Ellendale N D on Great Northern line
The Great Northern Railway extends fifteen miles from Ellendale toward a new town to be named Forbes. It sits southeast in section 38, with first lot sales on September 19 at Ellendale. A Dakota Development Co. rep will be on site Sept 17–18 to show locations. Regular train service expected by Oct 15 and multiple elevators planned for the season.
