Carnival Parade Dresses City Ladies in Themed Costumes
The Women’s Guild of the Church of the Advent staged a successful carnival last week. Dozens of local businesses were represented by members in creative costumes, ranging from doughnuts and bread to advertisements and hardware wares, with Miss Walstad and Miss McElfred among standout outfits. The event featured playful tableaux, music by Mary Cairns, and a parade of more than twenty costumed participants, highlighting community shops and services.
