Local County Board Minutes 1888 and Elevator Fire Report
The Devils Lake county board met November 1 1888 with all members present. Minutes were read and corrected detailing tax cancellations and refunds for lot 8 and related properties, plus various bills and repairs to the court house. An elevator fire near Farmers elevator caused losses. insurance values listed and notes on tramps and construction. The Burlington route praised as travel option.
