Grand Harbor Graduation Honors Eighth Grade Class

A Grand Harbor ceremony Monday celebrated eight graders including Adolph Belcourt Eugene Beldourt Willan Cruily Hiden Snook Rath Andel Susie Wallace. Prof West of Webster gave the principal address while Superintendent Haig presented diplomas. The Grand Harbor Band performed as Mr and Mrs Rees Moore contributed to the program. Teachers Mi xer Spilidey and Gom were praised and plan to return next year. they depart for Stohfield Minnesota Saturday.

Gates Open at Chautauqua Open Gates at Chautauqua

In a Commercial club and Chautauqua board meeting last Tuesday it was decided to open the gates for free admission this year to fund attractions, with a fee for the Aeroplane. Auditor ium charges will be 10 and 1hjeents in the afternoon and 10 and 26 in the evening. Notable attendees include Prof. Stromme, Forecaster Moore, and Lieutenant Governor Birdick July 4 and July 16 events cited.

Blood Family Leaves for Minot to Establish Law Firm

The Bloods depart Tuesday morning for Minot to make a home there. Their household goods were shipped Monday as Mr Blood bought fine property in the suburbs of the Magic City. Noble Blood & Adamson has opened a law firm in Minot, with Mr Blood to be the resident member. The family has long resided in the city and friends lament the relocation.

Editors Plan Grand Forks Convention Festivities

At a North Dakota Press Association gathering in Grand Forks it was decided to stage a full day of events at Devil Lake including banquet picnic and athletic sports during the June 23 24 meeting. W H Horton will welcome the group with N B Black replying. Jouse B Burgester of Jamestown will represent the Ben Franklin club and State Printer Bohankit will speak with editor Stickley of the Kenmare Journal also on the program. An eastern newspaper man will discuss advertising and state standards.

Hotel Opening Delayed After Carpet Work Nears Finish

The Great Northern hotel opening, slated for the week of June, is delayed though carpets are down and furniture arrived. Internal work prevents completion until July, with Mr. Wilson’s statement noting the new building should open to the public soon after. Minister Bryn Pleased with Devils Lake Visit

Delegates from Grand Forks praised the reception given to Ambassador Bryn in Devils Lake last Friday. The group, including H. Benteke, J. Jason, O. Opsahl, T. Thorson, Sorenson, and O. Holt of Grand Forks, with Karl J. Fare of Park River, toured Fort Rotten Indian reservation and were welcomed by the Norden Singing Society and the Sons of Norway.
