My Friend From India Farce to Play at Devils Lake

A local comedy company brings the farce My Friend From India to Devils Lake for Friday and Saturday performances. The play, praised by attendees from the East, runs about three hours with a 8:45 start and features The Flag of Company D song. Tickets are 35 cents general, 25 cents children, 50 cents reserved, with proceeds benefiting the Co D armory.

What Cows Will Do

A dozen good cows well fed will make $500 or more a year besides their calves. They will furnish milk and butter and beef and help a farm turn waste into money. Cows trim hedges and improve the farm, supporting tax needs when crops fail and paying weekly for their fodder and labor.

Goose supper honors Judge Cowan at Minot gathering

County Treasurer Scofield hosted a goose supper at the Leland House cafe for Judge John F. Cowan. Attendees included Editor Wilson, John Lynch, Sheriff Carroll, James Johnson, Martin Jacobson, Chas Taylor, court stenographer, and Marshall McClure. The group discussed state game laws as the migratory bird rested on a broad platter aboard the hurricane deck.

Devils Lake Club Directors Meet and Members Elected

The Devils Lake Club directors met Tuesday noting bills over $800 paid for improvements at furnished quarters and a healthy treasury. In the evening the regular monthly meeting elected Attorney John C. Adamson to membership, bringing total good standing to 55. The club remains thriving with members actively supporting its interests.
