The School of the Deaf trustees opened bids for the building addition and plumbing. Lauritzen Bros Fergus Falls won the addition contract as the lowest bidder, while Spriggs Bros Grand Forks claimed the plumbing contract. Heating plant bids were deferred to the June meeting. work will begin soon and move toward rapid completion.

A Saturday meeting of the Ramsey County Educational association was held in the Devils Lake high school on April 29. The program featured a singing of America, a paper on Language Lessons by Mrs. Stoddard, a mandolin and guitar duet by Miss Cairns and W. D. Moffatt, and a lecture on Literature in the Common Schools by E. B. Robbins of Crary. Mr. Haig read excerpts from Century on What Charles Dickens did for Childhood. Devils Lake Officers Capture 8100 Reward Horse Thief
