Bonds Go to Pay Off Outstanding Indebtedness at Chautauqua
The Devils Lake Chautauqua Association votes to issue seven thousand dollars in bonds at twenty five dollar denominations drawing seven percent interest for five years to settle the association’s debts. Bonds secured by a mortgage on all assets and convertible to stock. The board will print bonds and seek sale while securing speakers Henry Watterson and Joe Wheeler for July events.
