Ramsey County Commissioners Proceedings 1910 Adjourned Sessions

Adjourned meetings of Ramsey county North Dakota commissioners met February 23 24 and 25 1910. The board reviewed delinquent personal property taxes and adjusted the 1909 assessed valuation for section 25 4 56 63 reducing taxes by 200 dollars upon request. Present were Johnson Maloney Baugh Samuel Nesseth Emigh and others as sessions continued with recesses and warrants for bills including physician payments since May 1909.

North Dakota Lands Attract Farmers From Midwest

John C. Fadden of Arvilla reports growing Midwest interest in North Dakota land. A Galesburg meeting drew about 40 farmers who heard about clover seed from John Stott of Gilby and decided to invest. Over $500 worth of clover seed was purchased for spring planting. A colony of farmers will relocate to Grand Forks Traill and Cavalier counties, with Larimore and McCanna nearby. Moving trains carry 65 cars of goods and settlers toward North Dakota in the coming days.
