Kerlin buys Edward Wood Co. telephone line to Lake region and plans a switch board link with Devils Lake. Elliott party hosted at their home for Miss pent laide. Dan Kelly visits Devils Lake for townsite affairs. Rumor says twenty two lots sold at Rock Lake with more building to follow. Miss Gunchoner completes a term of school.
The Davis district southwest of town was visited on Tuesday of last week as plans develop. On Thursday the party headed home to Grand Forks. Herbert Lewis surveyed Farmers extension and townsites, identifying Lakeview as the best site for a new plant while keeping his law office here and splitting time between the two locations.
The Devils Lake racing meeting lists runners and drivers including Willete Rhelden Jones Britton and future entries from North Dakota Minnesota and Wisconsin.
